with the release of Fireworks MX, making extension becomes much easier and flexible, it also helps our imagination more creative. I am going to make some extensions that I developed to be available in this place and their upgrades as well. If anyone who feel there is a need of improvement while using Fireworks MX or if anyone wish to have an extra function which requires a new extension, please drop me a line, and feel free to give me some suggestions and ideas, I will try my best to produce an extension to make your idea to become a reality.

All extensions are compatible with Fireworks MX only. Please refer to my tutorial "Practical guide of developing Fireworks extensions" to get bit of understanding of the procedure of making an extension.

The following extensions I made, GeniusToolKit MacButton, InverseColor AnimationText, WireFrame, Kaleidoscope, Sector etc., are all approved by Macromedia, and listed on Macromedia Exchange. You can find them by using search criteria author name with "mengjue" through Fireworks subcatagory.

Genius Tool Kit is a productivity toolbox, it provides three wieldy tools---Transform/Move/Offset

The new version has increased the preview function.
• Transform:You can transform and rotate your selection.
• Move:You can move your selection by type a distance.
• Offset:You can clone your selection by type the distance and number.

To use Genius Tool Kit, select an active document, then choose Window > GeniusToolKit to activate the command panel, and click the relevant button

This command creates a vector object with the appearance of a "Mac style" button.The new version will take you more wonderful effect.

To use this command
• Select the button shape.(rectangle or circle)
• Input the Width and Height for rectangle button or radial for circle button.
• Input the values for the Top Left corner of the button.
• Input a roundness value if you selected rectangle button.
• Input a color value.
• Click OK to create the button. :)

This command can easy inverse your selected color,and can be apply the inverse color to Fill or Stroke..

To open the Inverse panel, choose Window > Bitgenius > InverseColor.
• Original Color:the color of user selected.
• Inverse Color:the inverse color of the original color
• Apply Stroke:apply the color in stroke.
• Apply Fill:apply the color in object fill.

This command can generate a fan-like sector with any degree.

• Input the values for the Top Left corner of the shape.
• Input the two radius for the fan-like sector shape.
• Input a degree value for the sector.
• Click OK to generate the fan-like sector.:)

This extension will generate many beautiful patterns,which can be used as textures.There are two parts on the control panel,on the left side there are parameter controls,and on the right side is the preview of the original pattern.

Parameter controls are explained as follows:
• GradientStyle:the gradient style of the original pattern;
• Blend:blend mode, it will randomize among single layer, double layers or triple layers.
• PatternColor: the gradient colors used to form the final pattern.
• CanvasSize:The canvas' size of the final pattern.
• Convert to Bitmap:if you select this check, you will convert the pattern to be a bitmap image on the canvas, otherwise you will keep it editable.

The command creative a animation text around a path.
• Drawing a path and input your text.
• Both select them,run the command.
• Input a frame value for the animation.
• Input a distance value between two frames.
• Select the fade method.

This command can easy creative a frame for current document.
• Input the width of the border.
• Select a color or input a color value.
• Click OK to create the frame.
